Madi Murariu, CIJA’s Director, Ontario Government Relations and Public Affairs has extensive experience in government relations and public affairs. In her career, she has worked on over 50 political campaigns at all levels of government in Canada, including municipal campaigns in Toronto and Territorial campaigns in the Yukon and Nunavut. She played critical roles in the 2008 and 2011 federal election campaigns and was heavily involved in the candidate recruitment and training process for a provincial political party from 2012 to 2014. She also has international expertise, having worked on campaigns in the United States, Moldova, and most recently the United Kingdom.
Madi has also worked in the corporate world, focusing on stakeholder management, corporate training and communications. Her most recent position was with the Insurance Bureau of Canada where she served as their Manager of Corporate Engagement and as the interim Vice President of Federal Affairs.
Fluent in four languages including English, French, Spanish and Romanian, Madi studied at the University of Ottawa and is currently completing an executive education certificate from Harvard University, specializing in grassroots mobilization and engagement campaigns. In her volunteer time, she is a member of the CJPAC ACTION Party committee.
