Calgary Jewish Federation works in conjunction with Calgary Jewish Community Council to represent the Jewish community of Calgary in dialogue with decision-makers and influencers on all issues of Jewish concern. As the Local Partner of CIJA, Federation is the central address on matters concerning Israel, anti-Semitism, interfaith relations, domestic issues and security concerns affecting the Jewish community. Working on behalf of the Jewish community for many years, Federation’s professional staff and grassroots advocates have developed warm relationships with local influencers on the federal, provincial and local levels.
Calgary’s Jewish community of 8,300 has contributed to the quality of life in Alberta since the 1890s and continues to play a role in promoting an appreciation for diversity and respect for minority communities.
