This month, Ayatollah Khamenei – Iran’s Supreme Leader – tweeted that “Israel is a malignant cancerous tumor in the West Asian region that has to be removed and eradicated.”
History proves we cannot ignore threats of genocide, especially from those using terror to advance their hateful agenda. As Canadians, we must do our part to ensure the international community maintains pressure on Iran.
Our campaign builds on growing momentum in the effort to pressure Iran. Last week, in a 248-to-45 vote, the House of Commons passed a motion condemning Iran for its heinous actions and calling on the Government of Canada to take a number of steps to hold Iran accountable.
The Iranian regime’s behaviour has deadly consequences. Changing it will make the world safer. Your voice matters.

PS. Importantly, the Minister of Public Safety confirmed that the government has begun the process to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist entity. While the IRGC’s Qods Force is already so listed, we have long advocated for extending this designation to the entire IRGC.
We can all be proud that Canadian MPs – Government and Opposition – united to support this motion. We commend Conservative MP Garnett Genuis for introducing the motion, Liberal MPs Michael Levitt and Anthony Housefather for championing it within the Liberal party, and Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale for initiating the process to list the IRGC.
