Linda Kislowicz, a former Montrealer, relocated to Toronto in 2006 to assume the position of President & CEO of Jewish Federations of Canada – UIA (JFC-UIA). As President & CEO, she is responsible for the national operations in Canada as well as the operations in Israel. As an active leader in the field of Jewish communal service for over 40 years, Linda has been instrumental in initiating and leading numerous changes and improvements in the various organizations that she has served.
Prior to serving as the President & CEO of JFC-UIA, Linda served as Executive Director of the YM-YWHA in Montreal, a multi-branch, multi-service Jewish Community Centre and as Executive Director of Jewish Family Services in Montreal. Linda led the transformation of Jewish Family Services from a government funded bureaucratic organization to a community based entrepreneurial one.
Linda has been an active member of several boards of directors including Family Services Canada, the Association of Jewish Family and Child Agencies, Montreal Federation CJA, the Jewish Agency for Israel, CIJA and the Reconstructionist synagogue of Montreal. Linda is the author of many presentations and publications and is the recipient of many awards including the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal. Linda is married to Joe, and is a proud mother of Barry and Kally, Howie and Naomi, and grandmother of Matan, Yair, Aviad, Shefa and Gabriel.
