Jackie Luffman is a sociologist working at Statistics Canada for more than 15 years. She has written and presented dozens of academic and research papers on major Canadian social issues. In recent years she conducted a national volunteer survey for Na’amat Canada. She served on the Board of directors of the Soloway JCC for six years and helped launch the Shalom Baby program. She has also conducted three parent surveys on behalf of Early Beginnings Daycare of Ottawa. Her most recent venture is writing about various issues affecting the Jewish community of Ottawa on her blog, Ottawa Shtetl.
