Marlee Koplowitz is the Associate Director of Stakeholder Relations.
At CIJA, Marlee works both on the National and GTA teams, where she is responsible for developing and implementing the national training plan, liaising with stakeholders within the Jewish community, developing and enhancing the relationship between CIJA and community organizations, and is a critical member of the national development team. Marlee provides both group and one-on-one training.
Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Marlee moved to Toronto to attend York University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) and a Master’s degree in Humanities. Her academic interests focused on immigration, multiculturalism, and Jewish identity in small communities across Canada, specifically the Prairie provinces.
Prior to joining CIJA, she filled various positions while working in politics, including serving as a regional adviser to a federal Cabinet Minister, a major gifts fundraiser for a federal political party, and as a consultant and research analyst for a government relations firm in Toronto. Her work covered a wide variety of responsibilities, including advising various politicians and decision-makers on issues pertaining to stakeholder engagement within the Greater Toronto Area, liaising and consulting with community and cultural organizations, and executing successful fundraising events across the country.
